Journal of Bamboo and Rattan
An international peer-reviewed free and open access electronic journal devoted to bamboo and rattan
The Journal of Bamboo and Rattan is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal published quarterly by the Kerala Forest Research Institute, Peechi, Thrissur, and Kerala State, India. The Journal was previously published by VSP/E.J.Brill, The Netherlands and from Volume 5 (2006) has been published by KFRI. As of January 2014, the Journal is an online free and open access electronic publication. The Journal accepts full length research articles, reviews, and short communications in English in the prescribed format. Authors have to agree to permit publication of accepted papers under a user license equivalent to the CC-BY 4.0 license by Creative Commons.
The scope of the journal encompasses the following broad areas of bamboo and rattan, whcih are Biology, genetic resources and conservation, Biotechnology and genetic improvement, Environment, Propagation, Management of natural stands and plantations Utilization, value addition and engineering applications, Marketing ad socio-economics and Policy issues.
